Hi there! My name is Ngaire and I've always LOVED to dance! I've been dancing, teaching & choreographing here in Motueka since I was at primary school.
​
I am 51 yrs old and a mum to four amazing humans, 2 boys & 2 girls ranging in ages 11yrs-20yrs.
​
Yes! I've been through pregnancy. Recently joined the post-menopause club. I can truly say that I understand the importance exercise plays in physical and mental well-being in both these areas of life.
Flow Dance Fitness is inclusive of all people.
If you are looking for a supportive class that will assist you in your fitness goals, then you have come to the right place.
I've worked in the dance fitness industry since 2012 as a Zumba Fitness Instructor, and I've learned various dance genres over the years to bring to class.

It's not just "dance fitness". It's connecting and helping others to start on a new fitness journey or to help get in the flow of life again.

CHOOSE YOUR OWN INTENSITY
LOW IMPACT/BEGINNERS
New to exercise? Post-injury? Senior Citizen? Don't worry, Flow dance is suitable for all participants. Listen to your body and go as high or low intensity as you want to!

Learn the basics in class. I do plenty of cueing and show choreography from the most basic progressions to full intensity to ensure your confidence and success.

PREFER HIGHER INTENSITY?
It's all up to you.
What you put in is what you get out. Once you learn the choreography and are at full progression. You control the intensity of your workout!

WHATS MY STYLE?
My classes focus on fitness through a "dance based style". I choose from a huge variety of music that moves me, then find a choreography to fit.
I like to make the majority of routines easily achievable to learn and use non-verbal cueing to point you in the right direction. After a while you'll learn what the cues mean and you'll be away!
I love to see improvement in movement & technique and often emphasise/explain how certain moves should be executed. This is so that YOU as a dancer can grow. (Just check out the video of our 2017 Starlight Parade on Facebook) this is a perfect example of how well everyone has learnt the choreography. Its not about "me" and looking good. Its about "us" as a class moving together. That to me, is a successful dance fitness class!
I love FLOW DANCE FITNESS. I was addicted from the start. The music is awesome and the routines super fun! Everyone is always encouraged,  Ngaire is the best instructor ever and encourages us to be our best! Which is how I became a new Flow Dance instructor along side of Ngaire in 2018!!
